Meet The Backbone — The Camp Managers
Without this crew, 30-30 Ministries won't work.

Just before the start of the 30-30 Ministries’ Fall Camp season, all of our Camp Managers were invited to spend a September weekend together to plan, reflect, relax, and fellowship. This invitation came from Shayne Goddard and our long-time partner, Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes in LaGrange, Ga.
Apart from Jesus, the Camp Managers are the backbone of this organization. These are the men and women who run the Camps. They handle everything from Friday safety meetings to the Sunday close-out and gift-card drawing—and nearly everything in between. They are the ones who help ensure each Camp runs smoothly.
Without the Camp Managers, this ministry wouldn’t function. Last year, 30-30 hosted 29 Camps in five states, with multiple Camps occurring on the same weekends. Years ago, I could be at every Camp—but not anymore. What a testimony to what God is doing!
In 2010, when God placed this ministry on my heart, I had no idea what He was doing. I just thought it would be a great little ministry my family could do. I never imagined we’d be hosting 29 Camps in a year or needing such a strong group of volunteers to make these Camps happen. As my pastor once told me, “Brad, if it happened like you think it should happen, it’s going to be pretty boring.” I’m thankful His plan is different—and so much better—than mine.
If the Lord allows us another Camp Manager gathering next year, this group will be even bigger. We already have one new couple on board and several more who believe God is calling them to manage Camps for 30-30.
With a growing ministry and an increasing number of volunteers, it’s understandable that not all Camp Managers could attend the gathering. They are equally vital to our mission of using hunting and fishing as a platform to share the Gospel. Those Camp Managers are listed below.

We’ve got seven camps scattered from Georgia to Kansas to New York, making for a very busy October. The early October Camps have filled, but we have some later Camps open for sign-up at 3030ministries.org.
All 30-30 Ministries Camps are FREE and filled by random drawing
Eligible youth must be in 6th–12th grade
Each youth must attend with an adult chaperone
We host Camps for a wide range of things—deer, bear, hogs, crappie, sharks, quail, rabbits, and more

30-30 Ministries Director Brad Gill spent Sunday, Sept. 20 with the congregation at Hawhammock Baptist Church to share an update on 30-30.
"When we're asked to come update our partners on 30-30 as a whole, that's a real treat," said Brad. "Our partners enjoy hearing about what else God is doing through a ministry they support. Those folks at Hawhammock and Flat Creek Lodgehave been doing Deer Camps with 30-30 since 2015. They haven't missed a year. COVID didn't get them, and Hurricane Helene didn't, either. They are some determined folks."
On Monday, Brad joined the Blount family at Flat Creek Lodge to make final preparations for the five kids who will be hunting and lodging there during this month's Emanuel County Deer Camp.
